On September 17th, Jean Hurd and Mary
Margaret Fleming were entered into The Book of Lives and Legacies, as
Honorees, and presented a recognition plaque by Barbara W. DeBaptiste,
President of the National Women's Hall of Fame. Founded in 1969, The
National Women's Hall of Fame is the nation's oldest membership organization
dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of distinguished
American women. A not-for-profit educational institution, its programs
include the induction of selected honorees, such as: Rosa Parks, Eleanor
Roosevelt and Susan B. Anthony.
