Tickets Are Still Available for the First
Luncheon
to Feature a Sitting Rotary International
President on the Monterey Peninsula
MONTEREY, Calif. August 6, 2007—
Tickets are still available to hear the
2007-2008 Rotary International President,
Wilfred J. Wilkinson speak on August 15,
2007. The Rotary Club of Monterey Pacific
and Carmel Valley are jointly sponsoring the
luncheon held at Rancho Canada at 12:00
noon. Reservations are required in advance
by calling 831-277-4388. The engagement is
open to the public and costs $30 per person.
For the first time, a sitting Rotary
International President will address an
audience on the Monterey Peninsula. As the
president of Rotary International, Wilkinson
leads 1.2 million volunteers towards
Rotary’s goal of world peace and
understanding. For 42 years, Wilkinson has
been a leader in Rotary International and is
known throughout the world for his personal
contributions of humanitarian service and
goodwill. He has served virtually every
position at the club, district and
International level in the Rotary
International organization.
Press Conference
A press conference will be held immediately
following the luncheon at 1:30 p.m., on
August 15, 2007 in the large ballroom at
Rancho Canada.
